Sovboi Legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
What we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over your own information — in plain language.
Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how Sovboi (“Sovboi”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit sovboi.com (the “Site”), place an order, register a warranty, or contact our support team. We act as the data controller for the information described in this policy.
Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to serve you:
- Order information — your name, shipping address, email address, phone number, and the products you purchase.
- Payment information — handled entirely by our payment providers (see section 4). We never see or store your full card number.
- Warranty & support information — details you submit when registering a warranty or asking for help, such as your order number and a description of the issue.
- Technical information — device type, browser, IP address and pages visited, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- process and deliver your orders and send order updates;
- activate and administer your 3-year warranty;
- answer support requests and provide technical assistance;
- prevent fraud and secure the Site;
- comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations;
- improve the Site and, only where you have opted in, send you marketing emails (you can unsubscribe at any time).
We rely on the following legal bases where applicable law requires one: performance of a contract, our legitimate interests, legal obligation, and your consent.
Payments
Payments on the Site are processed by third-party payment providers, including Airwallex and PayPal. When you pay, your card or account details are sent directly to the provider over an encrypted connection. These providers process your payment data as independent controllers or processors under their own privacy policies, and are certified to industry security standards (PCI DSS). Sovboi receives only confirmation of payment and the information needed to fulfil your order — never your full card details.
Cookies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for it to function (for example, keeping your cart during checkout), and analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the Site — such as checkout — from working properly.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only what they need to do their job:
- payment providers (Airwallex, PayPal) to process payments;
- shipping carriers to deliver your order;
- IT, hosting and analytics providers that operate the Site and our internal tools;
- authorities where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect our legal rights.
International Transfers
We serve customers in multiple countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. Where required, we use recognised safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses — to protect information transferred internationally.
Data Retention
We keep order and warranty records for as long as needed to provide the 3-year warranty and lifetime technical support, and to meet tax and accounting obligations. Support correspondence is kept for as long as reasonably necessary to handle your request and improve our service. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data we hold, including encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege access for our staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authorities of any breach where the law requires it.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to:
- access a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion of your information;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on it;
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the support form. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Children
The Site is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us via the support form and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on this page, and the “Last updated” date at the top shows the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after an update means the revised policy applies.
